Mr South Africa 2011 Interview Don Packett

Battlefield: Play4Free

Battlefield Play4Free Closed Beta starts November 30th

Set in the modern theatre of war Battlefield Play4Free is a first person shooter with realistic graphics. Battlefield Play4Free combines the very best of the Battlefield series – updates of the classic maps and vehicles of Battlefield 2, the definitive classes and powerful weapons of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the addictive RPG-like leveling and customization system of Battlefield Heroes.

As the game’s title suggests, all of this available to players for free online, using the groundbreaking Play4Free model pioneered by Battlefield Heroes. Most impressively, despite the high production values, DICE is aiming to keep the game download size as close to 500MB as possible.

Like Battlefield: Heroes, Play4Free will make money from micro-transactions, although Salt is well aware that the majority of gamers “won’t want to spend a cent.” “As with Battlefield Heroes, the stuff we’re selling are weapons and clothing customisation items for the most part,” said Salt. “With clothes, it’s only if you want to look really, really badass. With weapons, it’s much more about balancing: this gun is really fast, but it’s got no grip; this one just looks really cool. It’s always a personal choice and it’s never going to unbalance the match.”

Antec LanBoy Case is Made for Super Air Cooling

High performance PCs require good cooling, and sometimes that requires a case that can take a fan or two.  So if you feel uneasy about using water cooling, this one will be for you.  Antec has just revealed its latest case that’s built for airflow, called the LanBoy Air. It looks like a regular PC tower in shape, but what sets it apart is that it doesn’t have any solid walls. Instead, the case is composed of framed mesh panels that fans can be bolted up against.  Aparently, there are five 120mm fans – two on the front panel, two on the side, and one in the back – as well as room for up to 10 more fans.  The case is somewhat customizable, so you can change the positions of the drive bays or the power supply to where it’ll work best for your rig. Antec says that this design can result in over 34,000 combinations.  The LanBoy Air costs R1500 and is available in red, yellow, and blue trims.

Cyborg R.A.T Gaming mouse Version 7 and 9

Acceleration – 50G
Polling Rate -Dynamic up to 1000Hz
Tracking Speed – Up to 6m/sec
Always On
PTFE “Slick” Feet

Braided USB cable

Cyborg design all their products to look outlandish… like cyborgs. The unusual look of the mouse coupled with the advanced customisability of the device are truly its selling points. As can be seen from the technical specifications, there isn’t anything special in that department. It has all the components that make a good mouse. It then attempts to make a giant leap forward with all the possible customisations.

The RAT7 and RAT9 are almost identical, the only difference being that the RAT9 is the wireless version. The RAT9 is also $30 more expensive.

Unfortunately I’ve never been able to get hold of the mouse to try it out. Also the $100 price tag on the RAT7 will probably keep me from getting it. The features can be found in most standard gaming mouses with similar DPI.

I don’t know… What do you think?

A friend of mine sent me a link to a video yesterday. It was pretty cool and quite lol. Look out for the 360 no scope!
Gun Size Matters feat Shanae Grimes

After watching a bit of this video I realised that I had seen the protagonist from this video elsewhere. So I looked around a bit and found this, which I’m sure you would have seen.

Looked a bit more and found another one.
