Valve announce Dota 2

Valve, the guys who have brought us the Half life series, Team fortress, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, and also Steam. Valve have announced that they will be releasing Dota2 in 2011.

The game will be a remake of Dota, so not actually a sequel. It will however sport some new features. What they have done is to get IceFrog involved in the development of Dota2. If you don’t know IceFrog, he has been responsible for a lot of development on the original Dota.

    It all depends how much effort they put into the game, will it be a War3 DotA remake on a new engine or will it be another HoN type game, that’s just a money making idea from some bra that wants to kap face time with glodz, and then ruin the game during that time. DotA >> HoN
