The latest results of team RSA in the nations cup. I think there is alot to be learnt from these International clans and its great that they make these video’s available for us to learn from.

SSG BF3 Team Names

With the release of Battlefield 3 last year SSG has had quite an influx of new players, not so much new faces, but at the very least some new voices on Teamspeak. It’s always great to build the SSG family that little bit bigger. With all our players how ever came the ever daunting and difficult task of “two teams”. This is when our questions arose, do we have enough players, does every one want to play, can every one play, is ham playing, where is charl, why is voovs so amazing and of course the most important of all the questions. What will our teams be called.

Here at SSG we tend to do things as a democracy, so we decided to get everyone to suggest names that we would then vote on. And so the suggestions came in, there were some great names but there were also some really poor ones. I have compiled a list, from top to bottom, greatest to poorest.

Based on this Ham told us our name is Umshiniwam and Voov’s said the other team will be Packet Loss. I do recall there was some voting that took place, but some ballots may or may not have been counted. We will never know.

Amazingly we were able to sort out our team names and we even managed to enter our full contingent of 24 players on dogaming for the upcoming BF league. This is in no small part to Vovo’s contributions to the Clan and especially the Packet Loss team. Let’s play some games.

The Rules

The rules and regulations regarding the running and everyday awesomeness of the clan of SSG as laid down by the great Th3NaRRoW!!!11!11

Rule Number 1: The Rules

a. Anything said or quoted by Th3NaRRoW has to be taken as fact and can not be disputed in any way at any time, even if it sounds wrong.

b. The rules as laid down by Th3NaRRoW can be amended at any time by Th3NaRRoW.

            This includes

1. Adding new rules.
            2. Changing old rules.

3. Removing rules that do not suite Th3NaRRoW at that specific time.

4. Disobeying rules for the lulz.

5. Generally trying to confuse people with rules.

c. Rules that are not drafted into the first addition of the SSG rule book can be suggested by other members of the clan, only to be later shot down and denied by Th3NaRRoW cause he has the power.

            Exceptions

1. Vovo is not allowed to make rules ever under any circumstances.
2. No rules being mean to Th3NaRRoW will every be considered
3. Rules about 2142 are not allowed to be made by any one because it will likely anger Th3NaRRoW.

Rule Number 2: The Clan Leader

1. The clan leader. The clan leader at this point in time (30-July-2009) is bunnyZors. A vote can be held at any time to select a new clan leader.

Process

A motion needs to be started at which time a one of the following candidates can be selected to lead the clan.

Rule Number 3: The clan

            a. The Super Serial Gamers clan. (SSG©®™¹³³⁷) is awesome!

If at any time it is stated that SSG©®™¹³³⁷ is anything other than awesome that player will be punished accordingly.

            Punishment (Depending on severity of infringement)

            1. Forced to join HF

            2. Forced to join NSD

            3. Forced to join VVB

4. Forced to join FiB (Alternative punishment is death. But we feel that, that is the easy way out.)

b. SSG players are awesome. If it is stated otherwise by anyone it is the duty of the player’s fellow team mates to defend his honour.

            Exceptions

1. When the accused is using a G36E.
2. When the accused has killed you more than once. (appropriate swearing and threats are encouraged.)
3. The use of repetitive nade spamming.
4. When the face dance has been performed without prior written consent.

Rule Number 4: The Skype Chat

1. The skype chat is a place of communication between members of SSG©®™¹³³⁷. There are few rules to the skype chat.
   1. What can be done:

                                                                          i.      Make use of copious amounts of emoticons for no apparent reason.

                                                                        ii.      Be mean to Vovo.

                                                                      iii.      Say Diablo 2 will be crap

                                                                      iv.      Say Starcraft 2 will be crap

                                                                        v.      Say some other games that Ham and them like is crap cause it makes them mad.

                                                                      vi.      Do things just for the lulz.

1. What may not be done:

                                                                          i.      Be mean to Marrow.

                                                                        ii.      Hate on 2142.

                                                                      iii.      Be mean to Marrow.

                                                                      iv.      Say things that may potentially hurt Marrow’s feelings

                                                                        v.      Not admit to Marrow’s Awesomeness when he rubs it in your face AGAIN!

                                                                      vi.      Be pessimistic all the time like Ian.

                                                                    vii.       No one May hate on the Ham without the permission of Marrow or James.

                                                                  viii.      Other stuff that I will add later when I think of them.

Rule Number 5: The Jean and Marrow Chronicles

1. My ping is bad hence I am a noob.
2. My ping is OK but im still getting pwned, so other guys are hacking.
3. My ping is good im playing well yet I get killed so other guys are haxing.

Rule Number 6: Vovo Needs Love

1. Contrary to popular belief vovo does not survive off only James and Marrow’s hating but also requires the occasional little bit of love.
2. Vovo likes shoe laces… A LOT!!
3. Vovo is our “Special” friend.

Rule Number 7: Link or it didn’t happen

1. When an outrageous statement is used, the perpetrator is required to submit evidence in the form of an HTML link to substantiate his claims.
2. This rule does not apply to Marrow.
3. Marrow may as with any other rules over ride this rule. This includes rendering the evidence presented as null and void within the case it self.

Rule Number 8: The SSG forums

1. The SSG forums are the home of SSG.
2. All members are required to check the site every day atleast.
3. Trolling of the forums is encouraged. This will benefit us if we ever want to play LOTR online cause then we have trained trolls that we can use as tanks.
4. When posting something on the SSG forums be sure that your post is worth its weight in potato skins and always add just the right amount of emoticons.
5. Never post things about how noob other clans are in the public section cause that is stupid.
6. Always say how noob other clans are.
7. Love one other as you love yourself at night.
8. Remember I <3 Myself

Rule Number 9: Clan Matches

1. You need to play good in clannies otherwise people get angry and shout at you, this makes you sad. A sad soldier is an emo soldier and we don’t like emo’s, except for emo of course, we kinda like him. A bit.
2. We shoot stuff with guns.
3. Smoking kills but Hax kills to so don’t use them ffs.  

Rule Number 10: The Rules

1. The SSG rules are to be followed at all costs.
2. Never stray from the true path of SSG.
3. Know your enemy. Like you know linux. Which is not well at all.
4.  I am not well at all.

I thought I would just share some really awesome Youtube channels that I’ve stumbled upon in my time of trolling the internet.  These are pretty much the channels I’ve subscribed to and that I watch on a weekly basis. RayWilliamJohnson, Ray is the creator of one of the most popular shows on Youtube, getting between 2 and 4 million views per episode he is definitely on the right track. His show is called =3 and what he does it review the most popular viral videos of the week. These videos can range from cats in boxes to old men “struttin that ass”. It’s always good for a laugh and the episodes normally air on Tuesday and Friday morning here in our beautiful sunny South Africa. FailBlog, this is where many of the worlds viral videos come to rest, anything and everything about people doing the dumb things that we do, but caught on camera for the world to see. Fail blog consists of a few hundred clips around a minute in length, that all have one thing in common, they are hilarious. PhilipDeFranco, this is probably the only vaguely sensible show I watch, it is pretty much just a guy (Philip) talking about the news in America for that day. All though it has no impact on me it a worthwhile way to spend a few minutes two or three times a week, and keep up on some international news.  The Gregory Brothers, now these guys do something that is truly amazing, they are both talented and ridiculously funny at the same time. The basically take news broadcasts and auto tune them into a song. Their best work so far is the Antoine Dodson “Bed Intruder Song”; this song is an auto tune of this news broadcast. Some other channels and things that I don’t watch on a regular basis but that might catch your interest. BlackBoxTV, this is something different, it’s sort of a weird paranormal events themed show. Weird things happen to some people, there is some fake blood, and it’s all done pretty well. Star Wars the Old Republic, now this isn’t a channel, but it is an obsession of mine, so I’ll throw some of my favoured links in here.
